Job Description and Duties:
- Be physically fit for work
- Perform tasks in which the majority of work will be performed in a physically demanding environment, which includes working outdoors in all types of weather conditions
- Under the guidance of the Maintenance Manager, carry out trouble shooting and servicing of surface and underground mine plant and drilling equipment as well as carry out light mechanical duty repairs of vehicles. Duties may also include rebuilding equipment and maintaining surface crushing and screening equipment.
- Be able to operate mobile mine equipment to support maintenance and inspections activities
- Have knowledge and understanding of all MSHA safety regulations and the Company safety policies and procedures
- Immediately notify the Maintenance Manager/Supervisor if there are any safety issues found with the work environment or activities assigned.
- Ensure required safety training is completed for the assigned task prior to proceeding with the assigned work, and to actively participate in “safety toolbox” meetings,
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
